How to Order
You may place an order on-line or with a purchase order form (schools and Government Agencies only), or over the phone. Please give full name and address (both shipping and billing, if they are different), include your zip code and a telephone number where you may be reached if we have any questions.

Phone Orders
We do accept telephone orders. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card,  and checks (Personal and Certified). We do not accept American Express. Please have your order ready.  Keep in mind that payment must be received before the order will be shipped.

We  will not ship orders C.O.D.

If you order on-line, a sales receipt will be e-mailed no later than the end of the next business day. If you have not received it by the end of the second business day after placing your order,  there may have been an e-mail problem (wrong e-mail address incoming or outgoing). Please contact us through our contact us online link so we can check your e-mail address and correct the problem.  Please note the Order Number assigned to your order. Any correspondence should be made with reference to this Order Number

Order Discrepancy

Check your order immediately upon receipt: any discrepancy must be reported to Mud In Mind within 3 days after you receive your shipment. Otherwise we reserve the right to decline consideration of a discrepancy report.


Sorry, but we do not have a printed catalog. By only maintaining a web site we can add items and product information constantly, and keep prices and other information up to date.  

Handling Fee

There is a base $4.50 packing fee for all glazes, tools, equipment, shelves, posts and for any item that is not advertised at a 'delivered' price. This fee is in addition to the individual item shipping cost calculated when items are added to the shopping cart. This is a one-time (per order) fee and covers the cost of packaging materials (boxes, packing paper, bubble wrap, tape, etc.).

Shipping Quotes

We are happy to help you figure out the shipping charges on your order. However, quotes are just estimates of both time and costs, any overage will be charged to the customer. For full shipping information please see our shipping specific page.  We are not responsible for freight cost or time changes due to information about location which was not given to us up front.


Canada Shipments

All shipments heading to Canada will have a $5.00 processing fee added to total due.  This fee will help offset the additional labor required in preparing customs paperwork and arranging  foreign delivery.


When you buy from Mud In Mind we guarantee that all purchase transactions are completely secure transactions.   Our shopping cart and checkout system uses encryption and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security features provided by the Web browser. This ensures that your transactions are secure.  To provide extra assurance, many credit card companies will also guarantee the use of your card for web transactions, and not charge you for any misuse.   Your personal information will never be given away or sold to a third party without your permission.


Glazes, wax resist and clay will freeze and ruin. Please take your local weather into consideration when ordering items that vulnerable to freezing temperatures. If you live in locations that experience long periods of freezing weather, consider delaying your order until warmer weather is expected  MUDINMIND NOR THE SHIPPING COMPANIES WE USE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE DONE TO GLAZE DUE TO EXTREME COLD WEATHER.

Loss and Liability

Mud In Mind and it's suppliers takes great care to pack your merchandise well so it will arrive in good condition. We even receive a signed bill of lading from the freight company that they accepted your order from us in good condition. The next step is up to you. It is your responsibility to inspect the order to be sure it is in sound condition upon receipt. Below are listed several shipping and receiving standards for you to use to insure proper service.

Sales Tax

We do charge and collect sales tax of 8.75% for all shipments within the state of CA, no exceptions without California Resale License faxed in advance.


Remittance should accompany your order. We accept checks and credit cards (VISA, Master Card, Discover, & American Express through PayPal). Most schools, governmental agencies and wholesalers with approved credit, may use Purchase Orders in excess of $100.

We accept purchase orders from schools and government-sponsored agencies only. Please fax your school/ government- issued P.O. to 619-312-0971. Please be aware that PO are on a net 30 days basis. School orders may be phoned in; however, they will not be shipped until an official purchase order, signed by an authorized agent, is received.We accept purchase orders from schools and government-sponsored agencies only.


Returns of “Free Freight” Items  If you are returning items that were originally shipped “free freight”, you will be responsible for the original freight charges plus handling charges to your destination and the return freight. “Free Freight” is a special offer for those who keep their equipment, but is forfeited if an item is returned. In your refund, the price of the item, minus the freight and handling will be refunded. ADDITIONALLY RESTOCKING FEE OF 20% WILL BE TAKEN OUT  ALL REFUNDS.




Legal Disclaimer

The following is made in lieu of all warranties, expressed or implied: Our only obligation shall be to replace such quantity of product proved to be defective by standard and accepted methods for the Ceramic Industry. We shall not be liable for any injury, loss or damage, direct or consequential, arising out of the use or inability to use the product. There is no warranty for the merchantability or fitness for purpose of the product. Before using, user shall determine the suitability of the product for his intended use and assumes all risk & liability whatsoever in connection to the products use.


Your order is guaranteed to leave our dock complete and in good condition. We never ship torn bags or damaged goods. We work hard to select the best carriers to fit your needs or we will use carriers that you specify. We carry no other warranties or guarantees other than those provided by the original manufacturer. Please take care in determining the suitability of any product for your intended use before the purchase. We do, however, take pride in your satisfaction, and we will be glad to help you to contact any manufacturer regarding any warranty claim.
