The Cress 24" kiln is a compact kiln designed for the hobbyist--it reaches cone 6 on 240/208 v and can accommodate larger size work. Fits easily into the home studio situation and produces great results consistently! Toll free customer support. This kiln comes standard with a Kiln sitter& Limit timer, but you can order it with the optional electronic digital controller or Cress patented Firemate.
Manufacturer strongly suggests that items never be placed directly on kiln floor.
This provides the advantages of firing as rapidly as possible without heat shocking the ware, and are extremely energy efficient. The firemate even senses and adjust for room temperature and small voltage variations to give you highly repeatable and consistent firing results. The elements are electrically adjusted from top to bottom to give the most uniform firing possible.
The firemate automatically turns the kiln up when you are busy and forget. You have control; fire automatically or fire manually it is simple to operate. Comes fan ready. Can add 3" optional brick.
