Portable gas kilns offer many advantages such as lower initial cost, convenient movement for demonstration firings, and for use in situations where space does not permit the installation of large permanent kilns.

Olympic Torchbearer Kilns will reach cone 10 on propane or natural gas. It is easy to adjust your kiln for oxidation, reduction, or raku firing. The multiple burner configuration gives the Torchbearers very even heating characteristics, fast controllable firing times, and economical operation. The Model 2831G is built in rings and may be easily enlarged with additional rings or decreased in size to conform exactly to your firing needs.

Ignition Ring and Thermocouple Safety Valve-($272.00 option Retail $340) This enables the multiple burners to be ignited from one point, keeps the burners lit and shuts the gas flow off if the burners are not ignited.
Furniture Kit--($342.00 option retail $380.00) Shelves are 1" thick - 6 half shelves, 6 each 3", 6", 8", and 10" posts and 1 lb kiln wash.
Dawson Kiln Sitter/Timer-($300.00 option retail $335.00) Complete with a solenoid operated gas valve and an electric relay system. This shut-off system produces perfect results when bisque firing and serves as a safety device during reduction. The relay system prevents the gas from being accidentally turned on and will shut the kiln off (and keep it off) if electricity to operate the automatic shutoff should be lost during a firing.
