Glass kilns are used for fusing and forming of glass shapes. Olympic's glass fusing kilns have both lid and body elements. Elements in the firing chamber are used to evenly heat the glass piece and the lid element is used when fusing temperature is reached. Glass fusing kilns have a maximum temperature of 1700° F and generally are not as deep as pottery kilns because typically glasswork is done on one layer of shelving. Each of Olympic’s glass kilns comes standard with the Bartlett 3K digital controller in order to provide you with more accurate control during your firing. The RTC 1000 controller may be added for an additional cost in order to allow you to store 2 additional programs for firing. Each kiln comes with the stand shown, instruction manual, and warranty card. Options include Quartz Porthole, and Shelf Kit.
