The Champ package is a specially priced 14-in x 6-in octagon kiln similar to the 146GFE with a 3-key controller. This kiln has elements in the lid as opposed to the 146GFE which has elements on sides and lid. This kiln is great for basic glass fusing and slumping. Plates, dishes, jewelry etc

Olympic's Champ XL kilns have Elements in lid only. Glass fusing kilns have a maximum temperature of 1700' F and generally are not as deep as pottery kilns because typically glasswork is done on one layer of shelving.
