Paragon studio kilns have withstood years of abuse in school environments. High school ceramics teachers fire these kilns unmercifully, without remorse. Yet the kilns keep going. People swear by them.

Hinged at the bottom, the switch box on 8, 10 & 12 sided digital Paragon kilns opens forward for easy maintenance. A folding support arm holds the box in the open position. The Sentry is mounted at the top of the switch box within easy reach. Operate it from a comfortable position
The Sentry digital controller is manufactured by Orton Ceramic Foundation. It is unsurpassed in reliability for a controller in its price range. It includes a programmed cool-down, Cone-Fire and Ramp-Hold modes, and is capable of accepting types K, R, or S thermocouples. A type-K thermocouple comes standard.

Lid Safety Switch:
MANDATORY FOR ALL KILNS SHIPPED TO CANADA OR USED IN A SCHOOL SETTING.The optional lid safety switch turns off power to the heating elements when the lid is raised. It mounts to the back of the lid. IMPORTANT: The lid safety switch is required in some areas such as Canada and Europe.

3" Brick : TnF-24 comes in standard 2 ½” thick sidewalls and lid. The TnF-24 bottom is 3” thick. For porcelain or stoneware, order the TnF-24 with 3" brick, rated to 2350°F. Since the TnF-24 studio kiln uses 2 ½” wall brick, we recommend it for low-fire ware, not for porcelain and stoneware.

TF61AUXILLARY OUTPUT FOR SENTRY II CONTROLLERS (VENT CONTROL) The AOP (Auxiliary Output) is an electrical outlet mounted to the kiln. Plug either a downdraft vent or an external alarm into the AOP. Control the vent with Cone-Fire or Ramp-Hold modes.

TF62RS232 PORT ON SENTRY II CONTROLLERS (PC CONTROL) The RS232 is a computer port mounted to the kiln. You can monitor the kiln from a computer and store a record of each firing on your hard drive. Print graphs of firings.
